摘要
随着城市化的推进，城市建设对于公共空间的装饰性的需求越来越大，相应的，当今群众对于公共空间的审美标准也越来越高。虽然马赛克镶嵌艺术在公共空间中表现了一种极为吸引眼球的艺术感染力，但是大部分人群对马赛克镶嵌工艺的了解还是相对比较少的。其实，马赛克镶嵌是个非常古老的工艺，其最早可以追溯到公元前时期，马赛克镶嵌工艺经历上千年的变迁依然可以传承于现代社会，说明无论是艺术家还是普通群众都对马赛克镶嵌艺术保持一定的关注度，使这项技艺得到传承。本文旨在详细归纳马赛克镶嵌工艺的相关历史文化，记录马赛克工艺所需的制作材料、工具、制作流程以及不同工艺方法之间的区别。笔者相信这会激发更多人对马赛克镶嵌工艺的兴趣，学习这项工艺及其蕴藏的文化。无论群众把马赛克镶嵌工艺是作为兴趣爱好还是终身职业，都促使马赛克镶嵌工艺的传承进入良性循环发展的轨道。

Abstract

1.1 问题的提出及解决方案
本文所提出的问题是如何扭转大部分群众对马赛克镶嵌工艺陌生的现状。
马赛克镶嵌工艺的用途非常广泛，在欧美等国家已经成为常规的装饰城市公共空间的手段之一，而随着我国经济的发展，各个城市建设的大型公共场所对马赛克镶嵌工艺的需求越来越多。但是，大部分群众对马赛克镶嵌工艺的映像相对陌生，只知道是由小方块拼贴而成的画面，而不知其背景与制作技法。
本文的解决方案是结合我本人的马赛克镶嵌经历记录自己的艺术实践过程和感想，介绍马赛克镶嵌艺术的历史来源，艺术实践中需要的的工具、材料和相关工艺。
