随着信息时代的飞速发展,各个国家,各个地区,甚至每个个体单位都在通过纷繁的传播媒介进行着交流。交流的极度方便与频繁也就决定了全球化的到来。经济的全球化和世界的一体化使得世界上不存在任何一个绝对封闭的生存空间,那么文化的彼此交叉与渗透也成为必然,各种文化在交锋中激烈地碰撞与融合,文化多元化成为全球化时代的必然趋势。电影作为跨文化传播的重要媒介,在全球化的文化生活中发挥着日益重要的作用。而通过研究李安的电影中的跨文化传播方式,可以去更深入的解读异国的生活方式、社会习俗、价值体系、道德标准等表层和深层的文化。
