中西方文化差异下自画像创作探析

  摘 要

  文化包罗万象且概念宏大,仅从欧洲人的自画像这个现象就可以窥见诸多东西方文明的差异.我希望从自画像这个小命题,以小见大去挖掘出一些不同历史和文化基因的真相,学画多年,有两问题一直困扰我,为什么西方文明没有能够产生类似中国山水画之境?这个问题正如我要弄明白的另一个问题,为什么中国古代没有能够产生类似西方文明中的自画像艺术.这两个问题似乎存在着某些内在联系,都直指一个问题,就是文化和观念的不同,但是具体有何不同,哪些是本质的差异,这些问题恐怕要追溯到东西方文明之源头一探究竟,全文分为主要几个独立的部分进行论述,自第二部分始主要讨论欧洲自画像的成因与本质,第三部分主要探讨为何我们传统里没有自画像以及中国文化自身的特点,第四部分主要讨论中西文化的早期接触与相互间的影响,而最后一个部分是我个人自画像创作的一些体会,为择写此文我前前后后翻阅了诸多相关的文献资料,例如詹姆斯霍尔编写的《自画像文化史》,和陈传席先生的《中国绘画美学史》等着述,这些文献内容详实,为我的阐明此论题找到了比较可靠的理论依据.

  The Culture Difference Between China And The West From My

  Research Of Self-Portrait

  Abstract

  As we all know that ‘Culture’ is a large concept, from the self-portrait phenomenon we cansee through a lot of differences between Eastern and Western civilizations. so I hope to dig outthe truth about it from the point of self-portrait. During past years, two questions have beenbothering me, why Western civilization did not produce a similar landscape of Chinese painting?

  This question just puzzle as the other question why did not ancient China produce the self-portraiture art ? Both of these two issues seem to be rooted in philosophy. so what I'm trying tofigure out here are the specific and core differences between the two, so i consider the best wayto understand these questions better is that to trace back to the source of Eastern and Westerncivilizations.

  The full text is divided into several independent parts for discussion. The second partmainly discusses the origin and essence of European self-portrait. The third part mainlydiscusses why there is no self-portrait in chinese tradition and the characteristics of Chineseculture itself. The fourth part mainly discusses the early contact and mutual influence betweenChinese and Western culture, and the last part is the analysis of my creation. In order to writethis article, I read a lot of related literature, such as ‘Self-portrait- A Culture History’ by JamesHall and "The History of Chinese Painting Aesthetic History" by Mr. Chen Chuan-xi, whichboth are detailed contents as reliable theoretical basis for my research paperKey words : Self – portrait; religious; philosophy; humanism; democracy; freedom;individualism
